Wimbledon 1/2 Marathon🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️
First half marathon of the year ✅. Today’s aim was to enjoy a trip with friends, and we thoroughly achieved that!! 🥳 With a pasta night yesterday, a 6am drive listening to tunnnnnes and a post race picnic, we thought of everything. We caught up with friends, supported each other and made memories. 👭🏻
The @runthroughuk event was so well thought out. With covid measures in place, the event was safe but incredibly fun, with Wombles waving along the course, photographers capturing those race day memories, a mini event village (with a great atmosphere created by the hardworking volunteers) and several water stations dotted around on route. 🎽
Jas had a great race today, feeling strong and managing to gain a fantastic PB on a tricky course. The course was hilly and off-path so not an easy one! However, Jas made the race look like a walk in the park 💪🏼
Abs had an off day after a busy week. Some days just don’t quite come together for running, but she’s super pleased that even feeling rubbish she managed a respectable time and 4th placed lady overall. A great start to the race season for us and our friends too. Big thanks to @jacob.Burton.93 for driving and dragging Abs round 🤗
We can’t wait to get out to another event. In fact, on the way home we were already planning the next race!😂😂 Bring on 2021 racing 🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️💗💗
