We made the most of a beautiful sunrise this morning. It was so much warmer than it has been too, 9 degrees😎! It it impossible to feel anything but elated when you wake up to a beautiful pink sky 💗. Days like these are the ones you need to take a moment to take it all in. Appreciate the weather, the natural beauty, being able to run, being healthy and being beside your BRFF (best running friend forever 🥰)🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️🌅
Today we finished our run, took some pretty sunrise photos and had a good natter. Not being able to socialise like we usually would over a meal or drinks, we made a plan to have one easy run a week that we enjoy together, chatting and taking photos- not worrying about pace. 🗣👭🏻
This morning felt so comfortable for the both of us, and with the beautiful sun, we had that “shall we carry on?” moment. Then we sensibly realised it wasn’t a good idea to get carried away this week. Both of us are keeping an eye on our niggles and are so determined not to get injured right now, so for us sticking to our training plan is important. This year we are slowly building on mileage and speed whilst balancing that with strength work and stretching. We know we would rather be doing 30 mile weeks than nothing at all. This week is week 5 of our training plans which after injury seems like a huge achievement in itself 🥳
Many lucky runners can get away without injury and don’t have to stretch or roll or have massages but not us 🤣🤕.
What type of runner are you? Do you roll? Do you stretch? Are you prone to any injuries?
