Set backs ↩️
Let’s talk set backs. Sometimes it feels like we are going two steps forward, one step back. We get going on a training plan and then life happens, injury happens, illness happens, work happens. 🥴
It happens to us all. One minute you’re on the same plan as your friend, doing the same mileage and times, then two weeks later you feel like you’re so far behind and starting from scratch. ⏮
We both feel like that at the moment. We know we are super lucky to have each other to lift each other’s spirits and get each other back on track. 💪🏼 This week is about slowly building back our strength especially for Abs post covid. Lots of easy runs, swimming, easy gym strength sessions and LOTS of coffee catch ups! 💪🏼☕️
Now we feel excited about getting back on track and determined to smash out some great running for the lead into our next races! 🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️
Our advice: Don’t be defeated by a set back or two. YOU CAN DO THIS. It’s happened before and it will happen again but in a few weeks time you’ll forget it ever happened and someone else will be in the setback stage.
Support each other, listen to your body and try your best to stay positive! 💛
